Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and KaagazPDF for the use of our website, tools, guides and paid subscriptions. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using any tool on kaagazpdf.in, you accept these Terms. They are written in plain English on purpose; there are no hidden clauses.

1. What KaagazPDF provides

KaagazPDF ("we", "us", "our") operates kaagazpdf.in, a website that provides browser-based PDF and photo utilities — for example, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, resizing, watermarking, redacting and OCR. Every tool runs entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly; your file is opened and saved on your own device and is never uploaded to us. We also publish free how-to guides written by our editorial team.

The service is provided from India for a primarily Indian audience but is available worldwide. The website is intended for personal, educational and small-business use.

2. Eligibility and your account

To use most tools you must create a free account with your name and a valid email address. You are eligible to create an account if you are (a) at least 13 years old, and (b) able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction (if you are under 18 in India, please use the service under the supervision of a parent or guardian). One person may hold one account at a time. Automated account creation, resale of accounts and "account farming" are not permitted.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for any activity under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, please email [email protected] immediately so we can lock it and help you recover access.

3. Plans, pricing and downloads

KaagazPDF offers two plans:

Prices include all applicable Indian taxes unless we state otherwise. If we change a price, we will show the new price on this page and email existing Pro subscribers at least 30 days before their next renewal. You always have the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.

4. How Pro subscriptions work

The Pro plan is a monthly subscription. Payment is collected by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS certified Indian payment processor, and renewed automatically each month unless you cancel. When you buy Pro, you authorise Razorpay to charge your payment method ₹299 (plus applicable GST) every 30 days.

You can cancel at any time — either from the link inside your payment receipt email, from your KaagazPDF dashboard, or by writing to [email protected]. After you cancel, Pro benefits continue for the remainder of the period you have already paid for; you are simply not charged again, and your account then returns to the Free plan.

5. Acceptable use — what you may not do

KaagazPDF is meant to make honest document work easier. To keep the site safe and available for everyone, you agree not to:

• Process any document you do not have the legal right to modify — including forged, stolen, or someone else's ID documents.
• Use the tools to create, edit or distribute content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that violates a third party's intellectual-property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the site beyond the API rate limits published to you.
• Circumvent the download counter, use multiple accounts to bypass the Free-plan limit, or resell the service to third parties.
• Upload malware or use the site to distribute malware, phishing pages or scams.
• Interfere with the operation of the site (DoS attempts, mass sign-ups, credential-stuffing).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Where the breach is serious we may also report it to the relevant Indian authorities.

6. Intellectual property

The KaagazPDF name, logo, website design, guides and code are our intellectual property (or licensed to us). You may link to any of our public pages and quote small excerpts of our guides with credit, but you may not copy the site wholesale or resell our content. Documents that you process on the site remain your property; we claim no rights over them and never even see them.

The tools rely on excellent open-source libraries such as pdf-lib and Tesseract.js, each used under their respective open-source licences. We are grateful to those communities.

7. Advertising

The Free plan is supported by advertising, delivered primarily by Google AdSense. Advertisements are placed around, and not inside, tools — they do not read the file you are processing (they cannot, because your file never leaves the browser). Pro subscribers see no ads. 8. No professional advice

Many of our guides discuss photo sizes and document requirements for Indian government forms. We keep them up to date to the best of our ability, but forms and rules change without notice. Nothing on KaagazPDF is legal, financial, immigration or professional advice. Always confirm the current requirements on the official website before you submit an application. 9. Availability, warranties and liability

We work hard to keep KaagazPDF fast and available, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any express or implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you have actually paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses — including loss of data, lost profits, or the consequences of a document being rejected by a third party (for example, an examination board or bank).

Always keep the original file before running any operation. KaagazPDF tools are designed to be non-destructive, but a mistake is always possible, and since the file never reaches us we cannot restore it for you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify KaagazPDF against any third-party claim that arises from your breach of these Terms or from your unlawful use of the service, up to a reasonable amount — for example, if you use the redaction tool on a document you did not have the right to alter and a third party sues over it.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate an account (with or without notice, depending on severity) for a serious breach of these Terms, non-payment of Pro, or a legal requirement. On termination your right to use the service ends immediately, but the sections that by their nature survive — IP, liability caps, indemnity, governing law — continue to apply.

12. Governing law & grievance

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the mandatory rights of consumers under Indian law, any dispute will be dealt with by the competent civil courts of the district in which KaagazPDF is registered.

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, KaagazPDF appoints a Grievance Officer. To reach the Grievance Officer, please write to [email protected] with the subject line "Grievance" and a clear description of your complaint. We aim to acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours and to resolve it within 15 days.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, email registered users at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of KaagazPDF after a change means you accept the new Terms. If you do not, please stop using the service and cancel any active subscription before the change date.
